  1. What is MediaMelon?

MediaMelon is a video delivery service. MediaMelon enables you to watch your favorite video programs at the best quality. We specialize in the delivery of full length HD movies.

  2. How does MediaMelon work?

MediaMelon is a video delivery network. You will be installing a plug-in on your computer. The plug-in accelerates the play back of high quality videos for a very smooth video watching experience.

  3. Is MediaMelon supported on my machine and browser?

MediaMelon is currently supported on Windows (XP/2003/Vista), Mac OS X and linux. MediaMelon works best on FireFox 3.0 or above and Internet Explorer 7.0 or above. For more details on the system requirements for MediaMelon, refer to the Installation Guide.

  4. Will installing MediaMelon affect running other regular programs on my machine?

No, MediaMelon plug-in runs as a service on your computer and is active only when you are watching a video. When you are not watching a video, the MediaMelon plug-in is not active and will not interfere with any of your other programs or activities on the machine.

  5. How do I make the video play in fullscreen?

You can play all the videos in full screen with the MediaMelon player. Please locate the full screen icon on the right side of the control bar on the player.

  6. Where can I find the installer?

You can install MediaMelon plugin from this link. Also, if you are playing the video on a MediaMelon Player, you can also find the screen below where you can click "play" and install the MediaMelon plug-in.

  7. I have trouble installing the MediaMelon plug-in. Please help.

If you are having trouble finding the installer, please check the answer to the question above.

If you have already installed, but the player does not detect the plug-in, make sure you have waited for a couple of minutes. The player should detect the plug-in within a second after the install. However, sometimes it may take a little longer.

If the player still does not detect the plug-in, try clearing the browser cache and refresh the web page. This is most likely going to fix your problem.

If the problem still persists, please contact MediaMelon Support.

  8. I installed MediaMelon plug-in. But I am still not able to play the video. How can I get the videos to play on my machine?

Make sure the installation of the MediaMelon plug-in was successful. Please see the answer to the question above.

If the installation went successful, and you can still not play the video, please check to see a little "loading" icon on the left bottom of the MediaMelon player screen. If you click on the little icon, it will display how much of the video has been loaded. Sometimes, the internet connection is flaky causing the loading of the video to be delayed. You should see the loading percentage (%) increase over time and as you see this happen, the video should start playing.

If the loading percent remains at 0%, please make sure your internet connection is working well by testing that you can go to other web pages etc.

If you see the loading percentage grow above 0% and still you do not see the video play even after the percentage reaches 100%, please contact MediaMelon Support. Please cut and paste the whole url to the page where you have the problem watching the video.

  9. Sometimes the player area on the browser remains blank. What causes this? How can I get around it?

The MediaMelon player detects the MediaMelon plug-in as soon as the player loads in the browser. This may take up to 2 minutes, and typically the plug-in is detected in the first second. If you continue to see the player area remain blank, you can try clearing the browser cache, closing all the browser windows and then restarting the browser. Sometimes the browser caches some information from a previous session which may interfere with the current video play back.

If the problem continues, please contact MediaMelon Support. Please cut and paste the whole url to the page where you have problem watching the video.
